Description
GranuFlex® hydrocolloid dressing is a sterile, moisture-retentive wound dressing for the treatment of mild to moderate oozing wounds.
GranuFlex® wound dressing absorbs wound exudate and, unlike traditional dressings, creates a moist environment that:
promotes the body's natural healing process;
helps to rid the wound of non-viable tissue (autolytic degradation of dead tissue) without traumatising the newly formed tissue.
Modern hydrocolloid dressing for the treatment of mildly to moderately oozing wounds.
Versatile, easy to use and suitable for different stages of wound healing and for the care of several types of wounds.
GranuFlex® is waterproof and you can safely wash the entire dressing.
GranuFlex® dressings provide gentle wound care
GranuFlex® dressings form a gel on contact with the moist wound surface, creating an optimal moist wound healing environment.
The outer layer is waterproof and protects the wound from bacteria and viruses.
The foam layer is designed to provide both thermal and mechanical protection to the wound.
The patented hydrocolloid adhesive absorbs wound exudate on contact and forms a soft, moist gel.
By creating a moist environment, the dressing aids the healing process and soothes nerve endings, reducing wound pain as well as reducing the pain of dressing1.
GranuFlex® dressings can be left on the wound continuously for up to seven days, as long as they do not cause discomfort, leakage or clinical signs of infection.
GranuFlex® hydrocolloid dressings are indicated for use on skin ulcers including full-thickness wounds, pressure ulcers (stage II-IV), leg ulcers, superficial wounds, partial-thickness burns and donor sites. GranuFlex® contains a unique formulation of ConvaTec hydrocolloids that is different from other hydrocolloid dressings.
It protects the wound against harmful bacteria and viruses such as HBV*2 and HIV*2. As long as the dressing is intact and leak-free, the use of GranuFlex® does not guarantee protection against HIV or HBV transmission.
The dressing is effective for up to 7 days.
